PT Krakatau Engineering Corporation (PTKEC) was established in 1988 with the aim of handling Consultant Study, Engineering, and Project Management works both within and outside the PTKS Group.

Based on competence, partnering with international consultants, and experience in the Energy and Infrastructure Industry within the KS Group environment, PTKEC has continued to grow and started to compete with National-level Consultants in handling various projects within the country.

The long-term opportunities in the National and Regional construction industry led to a change in PTKEC's business strategy in 1997, transforming from a consultant-based company to a contractor-based one.

Following naming regulations, PTKEC changed its name to PT Krakatau Engineering (PTKE) in 2000.

To ensure the supply chain, maintain knowledge assets, and experience in the field of Engineering and Design inherent in personnel and management systems, a subsidiary company named PT Krakatau Konsultan (PTKK) was established in 2013, focusing on the consultancy field.

In the near future, PTKK is expected to serve the needs of consultancy services providers within the PTKS Group environment, as well as other companies domiciled in Cilegon and its surrounding areas, and eventually become a leading national and regional consultant company.

As one of PTKE's subsidiary companies, PTKK was established on February 22, 2013, headquartered in Building 1, PT Krakatau Engineering Office, Jl. Asia Raya Kav. O3, Krakatau Industrial Area Cilegon-Banten.

With PTKE's experience in consultancy since 1988 and as a contractor since 1997 in the field of Engineering and Design in the Industry, Energy, and Infrastructure sectors, the experience and knowledge are inherent in individuals and management systems, which later become a reference and synergy for PTKK as a new company in conducting its business.

Currently, PTKK has adequate Business Entity Certificate (SBU) and Personnel Expertise Certificate (SKA). As one of the International standards, in 2015, PTKK obtained the ISO 9001:2008 certification for Quality Management System and renewed it to ISO 9001:2015 in 2018, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management System, and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3) in 2019. The three ISO certificates were obtained through the leading independent certification body, LRQA (Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance).
